WASHINGTON, DC, 9th July 2026, ZEX PR WIRE — Jason Goins, an Air Force officer and scientist known for embedding engineers inside operational units to fix long-standing problems, has taken on the role of Vice President of Strategic Growth at the Federal Innovators Network in Washington DC.

The move pairs a person with a record of working against bureaucratic drag with an organization built around it. The Federal Innovators Network, or FIN, is a Washington DC community whose members work to improve government and public services from inside their own institutions. FIN connects practitioners across federal agencies, business, nonprofits, and academia through sessions it calls FIN Studio and other recurring gatherings.

That mission tracks closely with Jason Goins’ own work. As founder of Project Arc, he placed engineers alongside the crews who lived with a problem every day, a method that reduced B-1 Lancer maintenance hours and improved RQ-4 Global Hawk targeting. The premise was simple: put capable people close to a defined problem and let them solve it. FIN applies a version of that premise to government as a whole.

In his role, Jason Goins of Washington DC works to grow the community’s membership and partnerships and to expand its footprint in the capital.

“We forget how hard it is to build something until we are doing it again,” said Jason Goins. “FIN exists for the people who keep building anyway. Helping that community grow is work worth doing.”

FIN’s members span national security, technology, and public service, united by an interest in making government function better for the people it serves.
